The film operates within a traditional horror framework, prioritizing genre clichés over storytelling that reflects multiple aspects of identity. While it avoids some passive female clichés by centering a woman with ability to act, it lacks broader social depth. The narrative remains largely conventional, focusing on a high-stakes encounter on a lonely road. Without evidence of diverse casting or the subversion of systemic power dynamics, the film follows a standard, narrow storytelling path.
