Circle of Eight operates as a conventional mystery-horror piece. While the film provides a female lead with central ability to act, the narrative appears to rely on established genre clichés rather than exploring multiple aspects of identity. The setting offers potential for urban diversity, yet the plot prioritizes the supernatural mystery over identity or systemic dynamics. Character relationships follow traditional structures without significant subversion. Ultimately, the film lacks documented representation of underrepresented identities or social critiques, resulting in a standard genre experience.
