Que lo pague la noche is a localized thriller centered on a man's sudden death during his wedding celebration. The film uses a reflective structure to explore the causes of this tragedy within a specific urban setting. The film's strength lies in its grounded setting, which taps into a diverse, working-class Buenos Aires atmosphere. However, the film lacks depth in representing diverse identities. Character dynamics appear traditional, and there is little evidence of diverse identities or the subversion of social hierarchies beyond the socioeconomic setting.
