Aquí Les Luthiers is a musical comedy recital that prioritizes intellectual satire over traditional narrative structures. Its strength lies in its ability to deconstruct cultural institutions and musical hierarchies through the use of unconventional, improvised instruments. The work functions as a bridge between high-brow musicality and popular folk traditions, particularly given its performance at the Cosquín Folk Festival. This placement challenges the rigid boundaries often found in formal musical genres. However, the performance remains limited in its explicit representation of identity. While it uses satire to mock authority, it lacks clear evidence of diverse character arcs regarding gender, race, or LGBTQ+ identities.
