Category Breakdown

LGBTQ+ Representation

Minimal

The film lacks explicit LGBTQ+ characters or narratives that critique heteronormativity. The plot centers on a male spirit and a female protagonist using conventional archetypes.

Gender Representation

Fair

Kris serves as the primary catalyst for the plot, providing a baseline of female agency. However, she largely fulfills a traditional helper trope within the supernatural genre.

Racial & Ethnic Diversity

Limited

The narrative provides no specific details regarding the racial composition of the cast. The setting suggests a potentially homogeneous environment typical of late-90s independent dramas.

Religious & Cultural Diversity

Fair

The story explores restorative justice and post-mortem spirituality through a supernatural lens. It prioritizes individual peace and moral reputation over institutional legalism.

Disability Representation

Limited

There is no evidence of neurodivergence or physical disabilities being central to the characters. The restless spirit element functions as a fantasy trope rather than lived experience.

Strengths

  • The female protagonist, Kris, possesses significant agency as the primary driver of the supernatural investigation.

Areas for Improvement

  • The film lacks representation of LGBTQ+ identities or non-cisnormative gender expressions.
  • There is no meaningful inclusion of neurodivergent or physically disabled characters.
  • The narrative fails to provide specific details or visibility regarding racial and ethnic diversity.

AI Analysis

The film operates as a traditional supernatural mystery that relies on established genre tropes. While the female protagonist, Kris, drives the investigation, the narrative does not actively subvert gender hierarchies or explore intersectional identities. The story focuses on a restorative arc involving a murdered spirit, prioritizing individual justice over systemic critique. This thematic focus keeps the film within conventional storytelling boundaries. Ultimately, the lack of visible diversity in race, disability, and LGBTQ+ representation results in a score that reflects a standard, non-disruptive narrative structure.
