New Showbiz Analysis

The film follows a traditional supernatural mystery that relies on established genre clichés. While the female protagonist, Kris, drives the investigation, the narrative does not actively challenge gender hierarchies or explore diverse identities. The story focuses on a restorative arc involving a murdered spirit, prioritizing individual justice over systemic issues. This keeps the film within conventional storytelling boundaries. Ultimately, the lack of visible diversity in race, disability, and LGBTQ+ representation results in a score that reflects a standard, non-disruptive narrative structure.
