New Showbiz Analysis

Iconic functions as a female-driven psychological thriller that challenges traditional romantic structures. By focusing on the intense, volatile relationship between Rose and Lily, the film moves away from typical masculine-led horror clichés. However, the film's scope is limited by a lack of information about racial and ethnic diversity among the characters. Additionally, there is a risk that mental health and substance abuse issues may be used merely as plot devices rather than as nuanced character studies. Ultimately, the film excels in portraying complex interpersonal dynamics but falls short in broad representation.
