Judgment is a character-driven legal thriller that excels in giving significant roles to its female leads. Victoria Thorne and Helen Hannah are portrayed as powerful, intellectually active figures rather than passive stereotypes. However, the film remains tied to traditional themes and frameworks. It lacks depth in representing underrepresented groups and does not challenge systemic social structures. The narrative follows conventional dramatic conventions without substantial subversion.
