Loris Is Fine is a thought-provoking look at queer identity and chronic illness. It goes beyond typical romantic stories to explore how risky intimacy can create strong emotional bonds. The film successfully breaks down medical and social stigmas. By presenting HIV as a means of achieving a close bond rather than a tragedy, it gives characters real power and rejects the idea of passive suffering. While the film excels in its specific focus, it remains narrow in scope. The exploration is heavily centered on male vulnerability and specific health-related identities, leaving other dimensions of diversity unexplored.
