Vipin Das creates a sophisticated critique of domestic power structures, shifting away from melodrama to a nuanced look at gender hierarchies. The film highlights the importance of women's ability to drive the story and the reclaiming of identity against systemic abuse. While it excels in its progressive gender dialogue, it remains culturally specific and focused on the Malayali community. The work effectively dismantles the idealized family myth by emphasizing domestic oppression within a localized South Indian context.
