New Showbiz Analysis

Striptease serves as a critique of systemic corruption rather than a study in demographic diversity. Its main strength lies in its narrative structure, which centers on a female protagonist reclaiming control within an exploitative industry. While the film successfully challenges traditional gender hierarchies, it falls short in providing meaningful representation for LGBTQ+ individuals or diverse racial groups. The Las Vegas setting is portrayed through a predominantly white lens. Overall, the film offers a nuanced examination of social hierarchies and institutional failure, even though it lacks the multi-layered depth needed for a higher diversity score.
