New Showbiz Analysis

This satire disrupts conventional storytelling by favoring a chaotic, non-linear approach to social dynamics. It succeeds in challenging genre norms, particularly through its explicit inclusion of queer identities and its rejection of moralistic, 'clean' narratives. However, the film lacks significant racial or ethnic diversity. The focus remains on a localized group of travelers, which limits its broader cultural reach. Ultimately, the work provides a meaningful departure from mainstream conventions by deconstructing traditional Western archetypes like the hero and the law.

Official Synopsis

This hilariously smart satire tells the story of Johnny Vince, a swingin' hepcat who meets hitman Sam and Harvey on a road trip to pull a "botched robbery" in Las Vegas. Along the way they take a deeply unfulfilled not-so-good-girl hostage, encounter the mysterious Mechanic, get harassed by a foul-mouthed answering machine... and did we mention the lesbians? The result - hilarity ensues!
