I'm with Lucy is a conventional romantic comedy that adheres to established genre clichés. The narrative prioritizes traditional romantic milestones and straight-centered structures, offering little disruption to existing social or cultural hierarchies. The film follows a standard dating odyssey, focusing on a woman's journey through five suitors. This structure reinforces traditional courtship patterns rather than challenging them. Ultimately, the work lacks the multi-layered depth or diverse casting necessary to move beyond a standard, mainstream romantic framework.
