Jack Frost 2 is a conventional genre sequel that emphasizes horror-comedy clichés over narrative complexity. Its structure revolves around the mechanics of a monster movie, resulting in a lack of meaningful representation across various categories. The production adheres to traditional casting and masculine leadership structures, focusing on the central conflict between the sheriff and the mutant snowman. It avoids social commentary in favor of genre-driven survivalist elements. Overall, the film serves as a straightforward commercial product that prioritizes genre conventions over social commentary.

Official Synopsis
The sheriff and his deputies from the first movie decide to take a vacation in the Caribbean. Their holiday will be short-lived, however, as the thawed murderer gets inadvertently re-frozen and brought back to life. As if that weren't bad enough, he now has the ability to remain frozen even in tropical temperatures, and he's headed south to settle some old scores.
