New Showbiz Analysis

The film uses science fiction to explore themes of the 'other' through its alien landscapes and telekinetic species. This speculative approach helps bypass traditional human racial binaries. However, the human core of the story remains traditional. The central family unit follows a standard nuclear model, and the gender roles, while professional, do not explicitly challenge established hierarchies. Overall, the film's diversity lies in its world-building rather than its human characters. It successfully presents non-human consciousness but remains conservative regarding human social identities.
