Psychic Vision: Jaganrei is a genre-driven thriller that focuses on supernatural mystery rather than social issues. While it avoids traditional gender clichés by centering on female protagonists, it does not actively challenge broader gender hierarchies. The film operates within a localized cultural framework, focusing on Japanese celebrity culture and spiritualism. It lacks the complexity needed to address broader social issues. Ultimately, the work adheres to traditional mystery conventions. It provides meaningful female-led ability to act but remains rooted in its specific era and cultural setting.
