AI Analysis

How I Learned to Fly is a traditional coming-of-age drama set in a Mediterranean landscape. It succeeds in centering female agency through its protagonist, Sofija, and explores the complexities of matriarchal family structures. However, the film appears to operate within conventional narrative boundaries. It focuses on regional authenticity and personal discovery rather than actively disrupting systemic hierarchies or prioritizing intersectional identity politics. While the setting offers a rich cultural backdrop, the story lacks explicit evidence of diverse racial representation or queer themes, leaning instead toward a standard, character-driven summer adventure.
