AI Analysis

Sexual Intent operates within the conventional framework of the 1990s erotic thriller. The narrative relies on established genre tropes, focusing on a male con artist and his female targets through a heteronormative lens. While the film offers a glimmer of female agency when a single mother fights back against the protagonist, it remains tethered to traditional archetypes. The lack of intersectional complexity or systemic critique keeps the narrative within a narrow, predictable scope. Ultimately, the film lacks meaningful representation across most identity categories, prioritizing a standard crime-and-consequence structure over progressive storytelling.
