The film operates as a character study centered on existentialism and grief. It prioritizes universal emotional truths and traditional values over the subversion of systemic social norms. While the work provides a sensitive and empathetic portrayal of chronic illness, it lacks intentionality regarding diverse representation. The narrative structure remains grounded in a traditionalist framework. Ultimately, the production adheres to the established, non-diverse demographic norms of the Peanuts universe, focusing on communal resilience rather than identity politics.
