New Showbiz Analysis

Suicide for Beginners is a character study focusing on the psychological decline of an unstable individual. The narrative emphasizes the protagonist's incompetence and his violent obsession with a female target, rather than broader social or multi-layered themes. The film lacks meaningful representation across most categories. It primarily serves as a dark comedy-horror centered on a singular, dysfunctional male perspective, rather than a vehicle for diverse storytelling. Since the plot focuses on individual criminality and unrequited obsession, it misses opportunities to address systemic social hierarchies or diverse identity groups.
