Strengths

  • Provides a critique of Western institutional power and the ethics of state-sanctioned authority.

Areas for Improvement

  • Fails to include characters with visible or invisible disabilities as central figures.

AI Analysis

Altered Minds functions as a specialized psychological thriller that prioritizes the deconstruction of authority over demographic breadth. Its primary progressive value lies in challenging patriarchal and institutional power structures. However, the film lacks intersectional complexity. The narrative focuses heavily on familial trauma and systemic skepticism but fails to provide visible representation across race, orientation, or disability. Ultimately, the film offers a critique of social structures rather than a diverse tapestry of human experiences, resulting in a narrow media profile.
