AI Analysis

Dark Woods is a conventional survival horror film that prioritizes environmental tension and suspense over social commentary. The narrative architecture is built around a homogeneous group of Norwegians, which limits the scope of its demographic representation. The film functions within established genre tropes, focusing on primal human dynamics during a teambuilding trip. This approach results in a lack of intentionality regarding intersectional identities or the subversion of systemic hierarchies. Ultimately, the production remains a culturally specific piece that does not seek to deconstruct Western institutions or explore diverse identity politics.
