Immortals Connor and Duncan Macleod join forces against a man from Connor's distant past in the highlands of Scotland, Kell, an immensely powerful immortal who leads an army of equally powerful and deadly immortal swordsmen and assassins. No immortal alive has been able to defeat Kell yet, and neither Connor nor Duncan are skilled enough themselves to take him on and live. The two of them eventually come to one inevitable conclusion; one of them must die so that the combined power of both the Highlanders can bring down Kell for good. There can be only one... the question is, who will it be?

Category Breakdown
LGBTQ+ Representation
The film presents a strictly heteronormative world with no LGBTQ+ characters or same-sex intimacy. The narrative centers entirely on male lineage and heterosexual bonds, resulting in total exclusion of queer representation.
Gender Representation
Women are relegated to peripheral roles as victims or emotional motivators for male protagonists. Amanda lacks agency to drive the central conflict, and the film fails the Bechdel test while reinforcing hyper-traditional masculinity.
Racial & Ethnic Diversity
The cast is predominantly white, reflecting the franchise's Scottish roots with no significant non-white characters. The narrative offers no intersectional depth or diverse perspectives, maintaining a homogeneous and historically narrow fantasy setting.
Religious & Cultural Diversity
The film upholds traditional Western fantasy tropes and conservative moral frameworks emphasizing duty and vengeance. It lacks secularism or anti-capitalist narratives, framing the conflict through individual merit rather than systemic critique.
Disability Representation
No characters feature visible or invisible disabilities, nor does the narrative engage with neurodivergence or mental health. The focus remains entirely on physical prowess and supernatural abilities, leaving no room for nuanced disability portrayal.

AI Analysis
Highlander: Endgame operates as a conventional action-fantasy sequel that adheres strictly to traditional narrative structures and demographic norms. The creative team’s pedigree reflects a standard commercial approach with no intentional effort toward diversity or inclusive storytelling. The film lacks intersectional representation, featuring an all-white, predominantly male cast where women serve as passive plot devices. It reinforces traditional gender roles and heroic violence without engaging in any subversive or progressive narrative architecture. The absence of queer, racial, or disability representation results in a critically low overall diversity score.
