This leaves one option: a final Mortal Kombat tournament for the future of Earthrealm – win it or lose everything. Raiden's elite fighters Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, and a few new faces kick the action into overdrive as they go head-to-head with Outworld's most bloodthirsty warriors. But deep in the Netherrealm, an unspeakable scheme by the malevolent Shinnok unfolds, threatening to obliterate existence.

AI Analysis

Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms succeeds as a high-action fantasy that avoids the homogeneous norms of Western-centric media. Its primary strength is a diverse ensemble cast and the subversion of gendered power dynamics through highly proficient female warriors. However, the film remains tethered to conventional genre tropes. While the casting is inclusive, the narrative does not actively deconstruct socio-political institutions or provide representation for LGBTQ+ identities or neurodivergence.
