Starring Johnny Sanchez (Mad TV), Carlos Alazraqui (Reno 911) and Al Madigal (Free Agents) the three perform Stand-Up Comedy for the Spanish Impaired. Of course that's easy for these three veterans of comedy since their first language is English. Filmed at the El Portal Theater the 3 Non Juans talk about the joys and perils of living in a Spanish speaking culture without speaking a word of Spanish and making a living doing it in a not so brown world, all stereo types welcome. This show is definitely for the Spanish Impaired...IT'S IN ENGLISH PEOPLE!

AI Analysis
3 Non Juans is a meta-comedic exploration of ethnic identity and the performative nature of cultural belonging. By centering on three performers navigating the friction between perceived heritage and linguistic reality, the film disrupts conventional expectations of authenticity. The stand-up format allows for a sophisticated critique of the pressures of assimilation. The performers use their specific backgrounds to turn stereotypes into tools for systemic critique, providing a platform that challenges mainstream media homogeneity. While the film excels in its nuanced treatment of racial and cultural identity, it is limited in scope regarding gender and LGBTQ+ representation.
