New Showbiz Analysis

An Audience of Chairs is a specialized, minimalist character study that prioritizes individual psychological depth over broad demographic representation. The film succeeds in centering a female consciousness, providing a dedicated space for her internal journey through a surrealist lens. However, it is limited in its scope, lacking ethnic diversity and representation for LGBTQ+ identities. Mental health themes serve the film's aesthetic rather than offering a nuanced study of neurodivergence.
