The film operates as a conventional biographical thriller that prioritizes historical accuracy over social critique. It employs a standard survival arc to evoke empathy, resulting in a narrow narrative scope. Since the story adheres to a specific true-crime event, the casting and social dynamics remain homogeneous. The film reinforces traditional family structures and Western institutional values without questioning them. Overall, the production lacks representation across most diversity metrics, focusing instead on the psychological endurance of a single victim within a traditional demographic framework.
