AI Analysis

Fissure operates as a conventional psychological thriller that prioritizes genre tropes over intersectional storytelling. The plot focuses on a detective navigating personal trauma and a mystery, which keeps the narrative centered on traditional crime drama archetypes. The film lacks visible representation of marginalized identities or the subversion of social hierarchies. Instead, it adheres to established Western storytelling structures, focusing on a male-led investigation within a standard procedural framework. Ultimately, the film maintains a traditionalist approach. It does not appear to intentionally disrupt institutional norms or provide significant agency to diverse characters.
