Anger serves as a localized psychological thriller that prioritizes suspense and familial tension over exploring diverse identities. The narrative relies on traditional dramatic clichés common to late-90s European genre cinema. The film's setting and character dynamics suggest a narrow focus on a culturally homogeneous environment. This results in a lack of visible racial, ethnic, or LGBTQ+ diversity. Ultimately, the work centers on individual survival and moral conflict rather than challenging social hierarchies or exploring diverse identities.
