Street Survivors is a biographical reconstruction that prioritizes historical fidelity over challenging traditional narratives. Because it documents a specific 1970s musical era, the narrative is naturally constrained by the demographics of that time and place. The film operates within established cultural parameters rather than attempting to disrupt traditional power dynamics or implement storytelling that reflects multiple aspects of identity. It functions as a documentary-drama focused on the preservation of a specific musical legacy. Ultimately, the work aligns with traditional biographical standards, reflecting the historical reality of the Southern Rock scene rather than engaging in progressive narrative experimentation.
