The film stands out through its narrative structure that disrupts certainty. Centering the story on a character who questions systemic structures allows it to move away from traditional, institutionally-aligned storytelling. While the film lacks explicit representation of LGBTQ+ identities and specific racial backgrounds, it excels in cultural critique. The protagonist’s skepticism toward federal intervention provides a framework for questioning established power dynamics.

The routines of four roomates and their landlord are unexpectedly interrupted by the news of an alleged bioterrorist attack in their city.
