The Dematerialization Phenomenon, in which the real world becomes digital, has become a problem and must be resolved immediately. After hearing of this incident, Netto and Rockman left off after their father and Network Researcher, Yuuichirou. He also had found news of an invasion in the computer of the Trinity Brain trust company: 'The Earth itself will understand the way things stand in the cyber world'. In order to destroy the program causing the incident, Netto and Rockman have to go deep underground. But old enemies await them there, as well as new ones. As they fought each other, the vicious cyber-life, Nebula Grey, awakens. The Dematerialization Phenomenon will not be stopped unless Nebula Grey is defeated.

Category Breakdown
LGBTQ+ Representation
The film focuses on the platonic bond between Lan Hikari and Rockman. It lacks explicit depictions of non-cisnormative identities or same-sex romance, adhering to traditional shonen companionship tropes.
Gender Representation
Narrative agency is concentrated in male protagonists, emphasizing archetypes of bravery and technical combat prowess. The film reinforces conventional heroic structures rather than subverting traditional gender hierarchies.
Racial & Ethnic Diversity
The cast and setting reflect a culturally homogeneous Japanese context. The story lacks diverse ethnic casting or metaphors to address racial plurality within its digital and physical worlds.
Religious & Cultural Diversity
The film operates within a standard science-fiction framework of crisis management. It focuses on a binary morality regarding digital equilibrium rather than critiquing institutions or exploring moral relativism.
Disability Representation

AI Analysis
Rockman.EXE: The Program of Light and Darkness is a traditional genre piece that prioritizes technological adventure over social complexity. The narrative architecture relies on established tropes of heroism, which limits its engagement with diverse identities. The film maintains a very narrow demographic focus, centering on a male-driven arc within a culturally homogeneous setting. This results in a lack of intersectional representation or meaningful subversion of social hierarchies. While the dual-reality setting offers a unique backdrop for sci-fi action, it does not serve as a canvas for exploring varied human experiences, such as disability or queer identity.
