AI Analysis

Don't Follow Me succeeds in diversifying the horror genre by centering a Mexican-led cast and a high-agency female protagonist. By moving away from traditional Anglo-centric storytelling, the film provides a platform for authentic cultural representation within a major studio production. The narrative also offers a sharp critique of modern digital culture. It uses the protagonist's obsession with social media fame to explore the corrosive nature of the attention economy and the blurring lines between reality and performance. However, the film's impact on other diversity metrics is less clear. While the interpersonal dynamics suggest potential for nuanced character studies, specific details regarding LGBTQ+ identities or disability representation are not present in the current narrative overview.
