Summer in Corsica. In a Corsican village nestled in the mountains everyone experiences summer in his or her own way: children play, teenagers flirt, and the elders comment on the passage of time at their local bar. In the August heat, it doesn't take long for tensions to rise as one family struggles to keep grudges from bubbling to the surface. Sometimes a spark is all that is needed to set the maquis alight.

AI Analysis
A Corsican Summer functions as a traditionalist character study that prioritizes regional authenticity and atmospheric realism. The narrative adheres to conventional social structures, focusing on the nuances of local life and familial tension. The film operates within a culturally homogeneous framework. It lacks the intentional subversion of identity politics or the promotion of progressive intersectional themes found in more diverse modern dramas. Ultimately, the work serves as a standard dramatic exploration of time and connection, favoring situational ethics and local realism over the disruption of social hierarchies.
