Ryo is a boy broken on an emotional level, doesn't go to school anymore and locks himself inside at home. Hiroki is a student constantly talking about changing the world, but struggles to keep up with his friends. Ami, an isolated girl, comes into the life of both boys. The three of them get alienated from society and slowly, but surely, from each other and themselves.

Category Breakdown
LGBTQ+ Representation
The film lacks explicit depictions of same-sex intimacy or non-cisnormative identities. While themes of isolation often overlap with queer experiences, no specific queer narratives are present.
Gender Representation
The story centers on shared alienation across gender lines. By highlighting the emotional vulnerabilities of both male and female protagonists, it avoids rigid tropes of masculine stoicism or feminine passivity.
Racial & Ethnic Diversity
The narrative focuses on individual alienation rather than subverting racial hierarchies. Without specific demographic details, the film functions as a character-driven study of social withdrawal.
Religious & Cultural Diversity
The film critiques mainstream societal expectations by centering on characters alienated from family and school. It prioritizes internal, subjective realities over the stability of traditional social institutions.
Disability Representation
Ryo’s emotional fragmentation and school refusal suggest a focus on mental health or neurodivergence. The narrative explores psychological struggle through the lens of profound social isolation.

AI Analysis
This World of Ours is a somber character study centered on the psychological fragmentation of three adolescents. The film finds its purpose in exploring the margins of society, focusing on those who have disconnected from the standard pillars of school and family. The narrative succeeds in presenting a nuanced look at social withdrawal. By focusing on the internal struggles of Ryo, Hiroki, and Ami, the film moves away from traditional social integration stories to highlight the complexities of emotional instability. However, the film lacks explicit intersectional markers. There is no clear evidence of LGBTQ+ representation or specific ethnic diversity, leaving the narrative focused almost exclusively on the universal experience of alienation.
