New Showbiz Analysis

The Darkling primarily explores themes of class struggle and moral decay, using the narrative to deconstruct the 'success story' cliché. Instead, it presents a cautionary tale about the costs of ambition. While the film doesn't explicitly highlight multi-layered identities or diverse casting, it achieves a moderate impact through its critique of capitalist ideals. The focus remains heavily on masculine power dynamics and the spiritual cost of material gain.
