AI Analysis
At War for Love is a character-driven romantic drama that prioritizes individual agency over the reinforcement of traditional hierarchies. While the romantic framework remains conventional, the film offers a nuanced look at how personal survival can supersede institutional morality. The film succeeds in centering female desirability as a narrative engine, moving away from purely submissive portrayals. However, it remains limited by a homogeneous cast and a lack of diverse identities beyond its specific Italian-American context.
