New Showbiz Analysis

Destination: Infestation follows a conventional genre thriller format that prioritizes survivalist themes over social complexity. While it positions a woman as an intellectual authority, the narrative ultimately depends on traditional interpersonal dynamics to resolve the conflict. The film’s structure reinforces traditional values such as the assumption that everyone is straight or cisgender and family stability. The central emotional payoff revolves around a romantic pairing between the main characters, indicating that domestic stability is the primary goal after the crisis. Overall, the production does not engage significantly with diverse identities or challenge social hierarchies, adhering instead to a standard suspense narrative.
