The film disrupts global media hierarchies by focusing on the empowerment of Ugandan creators rather than the 'savior' cliché. It highlights how grassroots movements can challenge Western film industry dominance through cultural fusion. However, the narrative remains heavily focused on masculine stereotypes and male-driven professional relationships. This limits the exploration of broader gender dynamics and diverse identity expressions within the community. Ultimately, the documentary succeeds as a study of decentralized empowerment, showcasing how localized media can thrive independently of traditional industrial systems.
