New Showbiz Analysis

Obsession is a character-driven psychological drama that centers on intense interpersonal conflicts. While it grants the female lead significant decision-making power, the film remains rooted in straight-centered structures. The narrative lacks depth in representing diverse racial or LGBTQ+ identities. Ultimately, the film operates as a traditional romantic thriller, exploring desire and identity through a narrow, Eurocentric lens.
