AI Analysis

The Least of These is a traditional biographical drama that prioritizes historical devotion and religious morality. It succeeds in bringing visibility to marginalized communities through its focus on leprosy, offering a meaningful intersection of Western and South Asian identities. However, the film adheres to conventional social structures. The narrative is driven by patriarchal figures and follows a heteronormative family model, which limits its exploration of diverse gender or identity dynamics. Ultimately, the film functions as a study of religious martyrdom rather than a disruption of systemic hierarchies. It provides significant representation for disability but remains filtered through a Western religious lens.
