All the Real Girls is a naturalist period piece that emphasizes regional authenticity and intimate character studies. It captures the quietude of rural life through a grounded, observational lens. While the film excels in exploring the internal emotional lives and vulnerabilities of young women, it adheres strictly to conventional romantic and social structures. The narrative lacks the disruption of established hierarchies found in more progressive works. Ultimately, the film's focus on a specific, predominantly white socioeconomic demographic limits its multi-layered breadth. It serves as a localized study rather than a broad social commentary.
