AI Analysis
Raised and Called is a conventional 1930s comedy that reinforces established social hierarchies. The narrative is driven by male camaraderie and the manipulation of patriarchal workplace structures to achieve professional advancement. The film relies heavily on gendered tropes and the performance of traditional marital roles. Rather than challenging the status quo, the story uses these social constructs as tools for situational irony and comedic deception. Ultimately, the work lacks intersectional depth. It presents a homogeneous world where characters adhere to rigid social optics to navigate professional life, offering no disruption to the era's prevailing norms.
