AI Analysis
Daddy's Home 2 is a conventional studio comedy that prioritizes traditional masculine archetypes. The narrative focuses on the competition between different styles of fatherhood, reinforcing established gender hierarchies through comedic rivalry. The film lacks demographic breadth, leaning heavily into a homogeneous, Anglo-Saxon social norm. This results in a lack of racial, cultural, or LGBTQ+ diversity, as the story stays within safe, traditional boundaries. Ultimately, the film functions as a restorative narrative. It seeks to stabilize the traditional nuclear family unit rather than challenging or disrupting social norms.
