AI Analysis

Havana subverts the typical male-centric legal thriller by centering its plot on female protagonists. Jung-min and Yoona drive the narrative, navigating a high-stakes battle against a hostile prosecution and a mysterious judge. While the film offers progressive gender dynamics, it lacks breadth in other areas. The story remains focused on a heterosexual domestic conflict, leaving little room for LGBTQ+ or disability representation. The film's strength lies in its systemic critique, using a conspiracy framework to question the integrity of judicial institutions. This provides a layer of thematic depth beyond a standard crime procedural.
