AI Analysis

Dad & Me is a personal documentary that functions primarily as a deconstruction of traditional familial stability and patriarchal authority. It succeeds in centering female agency, as the protagonist's pursuit of biological truth drives the entire emotional arc. However, the film lacks broader demographic intersectionality. The focus remains on a homogeneous social context, offering little representation of diverse racial, ethnic, or LGBTQ+ identities. Ultimately, the film's strength lies in its interrogation of social roles rather than its breadth of representation.
