El sistema Pelegrín is a social comedy set in the mid-20th century, using a high-stakes football match to critique societal pretensions. While the film employs satire to challenge certain norms, it does not aim to disrupt systemic power dynamics or promote diverse representation. The narrative stays within the traditional storytelling framework of the time. It focuses on the professional incompetence of a male protagonist rather than exploring diverse identities or social hierarchies. Ultimately, the film serves as a social commentary on institutional absurdity rather than a vehicle for progressive representation.
