AI Analysis
Mayday operates as a conventional survival-horror thriller that prioritizes genre tropes over intersectional storytelling. The narrative architecture relies on the archetype of the competent male protector to drive the plot forward during the mid-air crisis. While the setting suggests a cosmopolitan environment, the film lacks evidence of diverse casting or deep character development regarding identity. It functions within a standard framework of systemic stability versus an external threat, offering little subversion of social hierarchies.
