National Parks Adventure is a cinematic celebration of the American wilderness that prioritizes landscape majesty over human social dynamics. By focusing on the sublime qualities of nature and the historical legacy of the National Park Service, the film avoids engaging with complex identity politics or social hierarchies. The documentary operates within a traditionalist framework. It emphasizes the physical feats of professional adventurers like Conrad Anker and Max Lowe, which centers able-bodiedness and a homogeneous demographic of explorers. Ultimately, the film functions as a celebration of the status quo.
