New Showbiz Analysis

Šišanje is a gritty study of social contagion rather than a celebration of identity. It tracks a mathematics champion's descent into the violent hierarchies of skinhead culture, using his radicalization to critique systemic societal failures. The film excels in its cultural interrogation, examining how extremist ideologies and hooliganism exploit the need for belonging. However, the film lacks proactive demographic inclusion. The narrative is dominated by rigid, destructive gender dynamics and lacks visible LGBTQ+ representation or diverse ethnic casting beyond the local demographic.
