It succeeds in portraying a female lead with significant professional agency and specialized expertise, using her intellect to drive the plot forward. However, the film remains anchored in conventional tropes. The narrative structure prioritizes a male character's social and romantic evolution, which limits the depth of its social commentary. Ultimately, the film focuses on individual success and social mobility rather than challenging systemic norms or providing diverse representation beyond its primary East Asian setting.
